Stop beating yourself up,
Never, never, never, stop writing,
Be free,
In this written paradise,
Climb the highest mountain and proclaim,
I am worth every syllable,
Every consonant,
Every vowel,
be who you are and find stillness,
Escape into the luscious fragments of your mind,
And understand,
That as Douglass said;
“Let no man pull you so low as to hate him,”
As true of others,
As it is for yourself,
No more self-loathing,
No more destruction of that which is beautiful,
Be who you are,
Note to self,
And what you are,
Is what you believe,
A writer,
Evermore.
